SRINAGAR- The Kashmir Chess Club, affiliated with the All J&K Chess Association, is going to organise “2nd Kashmir International FIDE-Rated Chess Tournament” from 10th to 15th June 2023 at Indoor Sports Complex, Polo Ground here.
The tournament will be held in collaboration with All J&K Chess Association and under the aegis of J&K Sports Council. The chess tournament is approved by All India Chess
Federation Under the AICF event code: 321392/2023.“The details and brochure of the tournament is available at https://aicf.in and https://www.fide.com. Players can register themselves up to 30the of June 2023; thereafter, late fee will be charged. Till date, 89 players have already register themselves.
It is mandatory for every player to have an AICF registration for the current year. Those who don’t have AICF registration can apply at: https://prs.aicf.in/new-register,” the Kashmir Chess Club said in a statement issued by its Press Secretary/PRO, Gowhar Rashid.
As per the queries, 200 players from all corners of India as well as a few players from Russia, Bangladesh and Nepal are expected to be part of the event.
