Srinagar- In a heart wrenching accident, a year-old girl died on Wednesday after falling into a stream in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Zainab Zahid, daughter of Zahid Ahmad Naiko slipped into a stream at her native village Sunigam on Wednesday afternoon, reports said. The infant was retrieved from the stream and shifted to the hospital by her family for treatment.
However, the doctors there declared dead.
A pall of gloom descended in the village when the news of the infant’s death spread. Many villagers were seen comforting the Naiko family for the loss.
