Civilian Shot At In South Kashmir’s Bijbehara

Srinagar- Unidentified militants on Monday shot at and injured a civilian in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Aqib Ahmad Dar was shot at and injured by unidentified militants in Marhama village of the district on Monday evening; a local news agency KNO quoted an unnamed official as saying.

Aqib, who is running a readymade shop in the locality, was shifted to Sub-district-hospital (SDH) Bijbehara for treatment. However, the doctors there referred him to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for advanced treatment, the report said.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers, it added.
