Cleric Killed In Ganderbal Accident

Srinagar- A cleric was killed and three others injured on Friday in a head-on collision between two cars in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

The accident occurred in Bani Bagh village of Kangan on Friday evening.

Police sources said that there was a collision between a Swift car (JK16-6685) and an Alto car (JK16-548) in which four people sustained injuries. All the injured were removed to the Sub-district hospital Kangan for treatment. However, one of the injured identified as Molvi Qaiser of Fraw Gund Kangan was referred to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries.

The injured have been identified as Sirajuddin Mir, Tariq Ah Rather and Muhammad Shafi Sheikh.

Meanwhile, police said that a case in this regard has been registered under relevant sections of law.
