Srinagar- An army man died after suffering a cardiac arrest in Sawjian area along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, officials said Wednesday.
Naik Sunil Kumar suffered a major cardiac arrest while performing his duty near the LoC in Sawjian area in Mandi tehsil of the district on Wednesday morning, reports said. A resident of Panipat, Kumar died even before he could be rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Reports said that the body of the deceased soldier was handed over to his unit after medico-legal formalities were conducted at a civil hospital.
Meanwhile, Police have started investigation and legal proceedings into the matter.
