Srinagar- A youth was killed on Friday after coming under a snowslide in Machil area in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
26-year-old Aijaz Ahmad Tantray and his wife were walking along Kulbugh in Machil when a snowslide hit the area on Friday afternoon, reports said. While his wife had a narrow escape, Tantray got trapped under the snow.
Instantly, a rescue operation was launched by locals and the army at the site. However, after hectic efforts, Tantray’s lifeless body was retrieved.
