JAMMU- An Akif Reshi hat trick helped J&K Bank football team defeat LoneStar Kashmir FC 4-0 on Thursday to seal their spot in the Christmas Gold Cup finals.
The semi final match was played at GGM Science College Ground in Jammu.
J&K Bank got off to a flying start as Uneeb scored the first goal of the game in just the 5th minute. After that, it was the Akif Reshi show, as the Anantnag lad scored three goals in the 7th, 53rd, and 71st minute to complete J&K Bank’s rout of the LoneStar boys.
Mayor JMC Rajinder Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while a large number of contractors, office bearers, and senior footballers watched the match.
The other semi final of the tournament will be played today, Friday, between Shaheen FC and City Udampur FC. The match will kick off at 2:00 PM, and the winner will face J&K Bank in the Christmas Gold Cup finals.
The tournament is organised by All J&K Sports & Cultural Welfare Association under the aegis of DFA Jammu.
