Srinagar- The School Education Department (SED) on Wednesday assigned “look-after” charges to five principals of government schools and posted them as Chief Education Officers (CEOs) to fill the vacant positions in the Kashmir division.
The order issued by Principal Secretary SED, Alok Kumar says that the temporary arrangement has been made in the interest of administration and in view of the administrative exigencies till the posts are filled up on regular basis.
“In the interest of administration and in view of the administrative exigencies, it is hereby ordered that the Principals shall look after the post of Chief Education Officers and equivalent indicated against each till these posts are filled up on regular basis,” the order reads.
According to the order, Principal Higher Secondary School (HSS) Halmathpora Ali Mohammad has been assigned the look after charges of CEO Bandipora, while Principal HSS Khawas, Chaman Lal Sharma has been assigned the charge of CEO Baramulla.
Similarly, Sushma Koul and Vinod Kumar Jad, currently posted at the Migrant Cell Jammu have been assigned the charges of CEO Pulwama and CEO Srinagar, respectively.
Ramesh K Hakim, presently posted at HSS Camp Purkhoo, Jammu has been assigned charge of CEO Anantnag, as per the order. Ram Paul Sharma currently posted at HSS Malnoo, has been assigned the look after charge of Principal District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kulgam.
However, the officer(s) assigned look after charge shall not be entitled to charge allowance. The arrangement is purely temporary and shall not confer any right upon the officers to claim seniority, placement, promotion or regularization which shall be strictly made as per the rules and in order of seniority and availability of vacancy,” the order reads.
It further adds that the arrangement will be without any prejudice to the outcome of writ petitions, if any, pending consideration before the Court (s) of competent jurisdiction.
“It is further ordered that the officers shall exercise DDO Powers in addition to the administrative powers,” the order adds.
