Srinagar- A woman died on Saturday after falling into a pit in Sogam area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
36-year-old Ishrat Bano slipped into a pit outside her home in her native Ganie Mohalla in Sogam area on Saturday afternoon, reports said. She was taken out of the pit by her family and neighbours and rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment in an unconscious state.
However, the doctors there declared her dead, reports said.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and started further investigations.
