Srinagar- A minor girl died on Wednesday after drowning in river Jhelum in Banyari village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
4-year-old Zehrish Tariq drowned in the river Jhelum in her native village Jadalpora Banyari of the district on Wednesday morning, reports said. Her body was retrieved and handed over to the family for last rites after completion of medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
