Srinagar- A retired government official was stabbed to death while two others, including a woman sustained injuries following a dispute in the outskirts of Jammu city.
Babu Ram, a retired zonal education officer (ZEO), was working in his fields in Narayana Khour village of the city outskirts when a man identified as Ashok Kumar attacked him with a sharp edged weapon, reports said. Two locals identified as Sita Devi and Vaneet Kumar also suffered injuries when they came rushing to save the retired government officer.
All the injured, reports said, were rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, the former ZEO succumbed to his injuries.
Two of the injured were referred to the GMC, Jammu for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, Police have arrested the accused and recovered the weapon of offense.
