Patients Demand More Ticket Counters At Super Speciality Hospital

Srinagar- Patients at Super Specialty Hospital, Shireen Bagh have complained that the presence of few ticket counters at the hospital is taking a heavy toll on patients.

Patients say there are only three ticket counters and since the day hospital switched to online ticketing, it is getting hard for patients to get prescription tickets as they have to wait in long queues.

Speaking to Kashmir Observer, Abdul Hameed Bhat, 75 a patient, said he suffers from multiple ailments and he had to wait for hours together to get a prescription.

“There are only three counters and the number of patients is a lot more. Some patients cannot wait because of health complications,” Hameed said.

He urged the authorities to ensure more counters should be put in place so that patients suffering from ailments do not suffer.

Patients also complained that every second time a patient comes to seek appointment, he or she has to once again seek a new prescription online, which is time consuming and takes a toll on the health of patients who suffer from severe health complications.

Patients urged the hospital administration to do away with the system.

In a bid to seek answers to the requests of patients Kashmir Observer made multiple attempts to speak to Medical Superintendent of Super Speciality Hospital, Dr Jahangir Bakshi. He, however, did not respond to repeated phone calls.
