SMC Asks Dog Owners To Get Their Pets Registered

Srinagar- The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has issued a public notice on 19th October and asked all the dog owners residing within the limits of Srinagar city to get their pet dogs registered.

A public notice issued by the Municipal Veterinary Officer SMC states that “All the owners/keepers of pet dogs residing within the limits of Srinagar Municipal Corporation are required to get their pet dogs registered in accordance to the section 304 (regulation and control of Dogs) of the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act 2000 and section 3 of Animal Birth Control (dog) rules 2001 in the office of the undersigned”

The notice further states that “the requisite forms will be available in the office of the Municipal Veterinary Officers Tengpora, Bypass Srinagar”.
