TCI Foundation Carries Out Vaccination Drive In Dal Lake

Srinagar- Under the Momentum Routine Immunization Transformation & Equity Project, Shikara Vaccine Express (SHIKARA VEX) did one more Vaccination drive on Tuesday. The drive was conducted by the TCI foundation  in the interiors of Dal Lake on Tuesday. The TCI team visited Kanda Mohalla in Dal Lake and carried out a vaccination drive in the locality.

The team which carried out the vaccination drive included Dr Madiha Mohaimin (District coordinator), Ainul afzal (Staff Nurse), Mohammad Ashraf (Data entry operator) and Shariq Beigh (Health educator).

It is pertinent to mention, TCI Foundation an autonomous entity under Transport Corporation of India works in collaboration with Government, public sector undertakings, national and international organizations and reputed corporates to serve the nation with the motto of equality and better life for all citizens in the country.

TCI Foundation is actively working to vaccinate vulnerable populations and has already vaccinated around 20000 beneficiaries in Srinagar.

Speaking to Kashmir Observer, An official from the TCI foundation said that the Covid 19 vaccination drive was carried out under the Momentum Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity project.

“the project is part of a suite of innovative awards funded by the U.S. Agency for international development (USAID) to holistically improve family planning and maternal and child health in partner countries around the world,”.

TCI Foundation further said the project also contributes to ongoing global efforts to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on immunization services and support countries to prepare for and introduce COVID-19 vaccines.

“The project was awarded to JSI in collaboration with TCI Foundation as a grant recipient under M-RITE Project, working as a sub awardee for Covid-19 vaccination project”

With support from USAID under M-RITE Project, TCI Foundation is working in 17 States for ramping up COVID-19 Vaccination Program, including districts of Srinagar Jammu, Udhampur, and Leh.
