THE meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Samarkand, is beginning today with expectations of a political breakthrough not only between India and China but also between India and Pakistan. The latter relationship is drawing more attention after India and China more or less resolved their stand-off along the Line of Actual Control. Is there a chance that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Shahbaz Sharif will meet? There is no confirmation on this so far.
