Scuffle Leaves Teen Labourer Dead

Srinagar- A teenage labourer from Banihal was killed during a scuffle between labourers in Shopian district of South Kashmir, an official said Friday.

19-year-old Nasir Ahmad Naik of Banihal was critically injured during a scuffle between labourers at their rented accommodation in Muradpora area of the district on Friday evening, he said.

The injured teenager, he said, succumbed on the way to the hospital.

Meanwhile, a local news agency GNS quoted an unnamed police officer as saying that three people were arrested from the spot while two others managed to flee before the arrival of the police party.
