Migrant Worker Shot At In South Kashmir, Hospitalized

Srinagar- Unidentified gunmen on Friday opened fire at a migrant labourer in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, a police official said.

Victim Muneerul Islam hails from West Bengal. He has been shifted to hospital, the official said.

The incident took place in the Ugergund area in the morning. An inquiry is being carried out, he added.

“Terrorists fired upon one outside labourer Muneerul Islam S/O Abdul Karim R/O West Bengal at Ugergund Newa in #Pulwama. He has been shifted to district hospital Pulwama where his condition is stated to be stable. Area #cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Police posted on its official Twitter handle.

He said the injured labourer has been shifted a hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable.
