Elderly Man Injured In Bear Attack In North Kashmir’s Handwara

Srinagar- A 60-year-old man was hospitalized in critical conditions after being attacked by a black bear in Lachampora village of Handwara area in Kupwara district of North Kashmir Thursday afternoon.

News agency GNS reported that one Mohammad Yousaf Mir son of Ghulam Mohuiddin Mir, a resident of Lachampora was attacked by a black bear while he was doing some work in his orchard. The individual was shifted to DH Handwara from where he was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for preferential treatment.

The overall condition of the victim, as per hospital sources, continues to remain critical – when this report is being filed.
