Elderly Man Injured In Bear Attack In North Kashmir’s Uri

Srinagar-  An elderly man was injured in a bear attack in Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

News agency GNS quoting official sources reported that the man, Qalander Shah (around 70-year-old) son of Mehtab Shah suffered multiple injuries when bear attacked him while he was in his Behak (makeshift house especially for summers) at Zamboor Patan area of Uri.

The injured was later shifted to GMC Baramulla, they said.

A police official confirmed the incident and said that Shah’s condition was ‘largely stable’.
