CRPF Officer Hurt In Grenade Attack Near Eidgah

Srinagar- A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector on Saturday was injured in a grenade attack in Eidgah area of this capital city.

Sub-Inspector Parvez Rana of CRPF 161 battalion sustained minor splinter injuries on Saturday when militants lobbed a grenade at a bunker near Aali Masjid in Eidgah area of the city, officials said. Rana, they said, was removed to the nearby SMHS hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be stable.

“One grenade was lobbed by terrorist(s) towards security forces on Ali jan road, Eidgah. This caused minor splinter injuries to one CRPF personnel. Cordon and Search operations have been launched to nab culprit(s)” Srinagar police posted on its official Twitter handle.
