Factory Involved In Illegal Manufacture Of Beer Sealed

Srinagar- Police along with civil authorities sealed a factory in Khunmoh area of Srinagar on Saturday in a bid to act tough against illegal manufacture and processing of Beer.

Police acted on specific information received from reliable sources that a factory registered in the name of M/S Zainab Textiles situated at Phase-2 Khunmoh was involved in illegal and unlawful activity of manufacturing, processing of Beer.

A Police party of Police Station Pantha chowk under the supervision of SDPO Pantha chowk along with officials from Excise department, Revenue department and Food department raided the suspected spot.

“During search, a large quantity of beer bottles was recovered and was accordingly seized on the spot. The machine used in the manufacturing process has also been seized” Police in a statement said.

In this regard a cased vide FIR No. 64/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pantha Chowk and investigation has been initiated.
