Srinagar- The residents of Gasiyar, Hawal have urged the authorities to repair the drainage system in the area.
According to locals, the drainage system is defunct and all the unclean water gets accumulated in the lane.
Locals say there is a mosque in the locality and it is hard to make way for the mosque.
“The drainage problem has been there for years and is nothing new, it is sad that authorities have failed to repair the drainage” said Dr Syed Mudasir who leads prayers at the Noor ul Huda Mosque.
The residents say they have brought the issue in the notice of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation a number of times but unfortunately they have failed to initiate any action.
Locals have appealed to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation to repair the drainage system in the area.
“It is high time the municipality repairs the drainage system otherwise we will be forced to pool money and repair it” they said.
