CBI Raids RTO Office In Srinagar

Srinagar– The sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday carried out a raid at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) here in this capital city.

News agency KNO quoting official sources reported that the raid was conducted following complaints of wrongdoings by the officials of RTO Kashmir in registration of fresh and re-registration of different types off vehicles from outside state.

He said incriminating documents and other related documents were seized by the CBI teams.

Sources further confirmed the nexus between touts and officials involved in this large scale fraud going on from last many years, they said, adding that many arrests are expected in the coming days.

RTO Kashmir confirmed the raid was conducted by the CBI sleuths in the early hours of Friday and some documents were seized as well.

He further added that RTO officials also assisted the CBI team.
