17 Tourists Among 39 Bitten By Stray Dogs In Srinagar’s Dalgate

Srinagar- At least 39 persons including 17 tourists were injured after they were attacked by stray dogs at Dalgate area of Srinagar on Friday evening.

News agency KNO quoting locals reported that stray dogs attacked and injured at least 39 persons including 17 domestic tourists at Ghat no.5 in Buchwara area of Dalgate.

They said that the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.

While tourists were going through the busy road, the locals persons were coming out of Masjid after offering Isha Taraweeh prayers, they said.

Medical Superintendent of SMHS hospital, Dr. Kanwaljeet Singh said that 39 injured were brought to the hospital this evening

Meanwhile, Locals of the area here have appealed to authorities to act against the increasing menace of stray dogs in the area.
