Srinagar- Police in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have booked a notorious thief under public safety act (PSA) after obtaining necessary sanction from the authorities, a spokesperson said Thursday.
Mudasir Ahmad Lone of Mughalpora Kupwara was today detained under Public Safety Act by Police after obtaining sanctions from the concerned authorities for his unrelenting criminal acts of burglary and theft, the spokesperson said.
Lone, he said, was involved in at least five cases of burglary and theft in and around Kupwara town.
“Apart from his involvement in several FIRs, the accused had created an atmosphere of terror and fear among general public of the area,” he added.
