SRINAGAR- The First Phase of 29th Annual Football Championship restarted on Monday with DFA Bandipora and DFA Baramulla registering wins in two end-to-end matches at the Synthetic Turf TRC here.
The Annual Championship was earlier stopped due to the heavy snowfall in the region.
The first match on Monday was played between DFA Bandipora and DFA Zone Pampore. The Bandipora team defeated Pampore by 4 goals to 2.
The second match was played between DFA Baramulla and DFA Kulgam. DFA Baramulla defeated DFA Kulgam 3-2 in an action-packed match. The Young Turks of DFA Kulgam exhibited quality football and fought to the last minute of the game.
Peer Sirajudin, Vice President North Zone, JKFA was the Chief Guest on the occasion and was introduced with both the teams. The Championship is organised by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
