Srinagar- As the usually colourful classrooms, decorated and lit up hallways of Kashmir schools have now been replaced with virtual events, the Leeds International Academy has conducted a 6-day “fun and frolic” workshop for children at its premises from 31st October.
The event “Leeds Educational Fun-Fair” combines a lot of small and independent activities including Art & Craft, Games & Sports, Horse riding, clay-moulding rhymes and storytelling. The fun-fair had several stalls consisting of different games and food, managed by catering staff with the support of teachers.

“Since the onset of Covid-19, the students and parents have been going through a stressful life.” said Imran, General Secretary of the Leeds International Academy. “The students have been turned dumb since Covid and our basic motive behind the funfare was that these two years of stress should be abated through this source of fun.”
He further added, “The funfare has proved a good source of enjoyment for all the students who have participated. This has also helped them to socialise, meet and interact with other students.”
Pertinently, the Students also took a pledge to maintain unity, harmony along with gender equality and cleanliness in Kashmir. Following this, students participated in a funfair organised for them by Leeds International Academy. In the fair students and other visitors enjoyed various delicacies as the event ended on a high note.
“This funfair is also aimed at focusing on preparing the students to meet the challenges of 21st century, futuristic education across the globe.” Imran told Kashmir Observer. “And, we want to make sure that this kind of education is available in Kashmir.”
Notably, the event also created awareness among the parents about Multiple intelligences, Differential teachings, Advance learning and support, catering different skills among kids, Moral values and Sports academies and many more.
