J&K Logs New 96 Corona Cases

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Friday 96 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while 36 more Covid-19 infected people recovered in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to the officials, 70 fresh cases of coronavirus were reported from Kashmir Valley while the remaining 26 were detected in Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of virus in J&K last year to 3 25714. Budgam, they said, recorded the highest number of fresh cases at 27, followed by 23 in Srinagar district.

Meanwhile, 36 more Covid-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 33 from Jammu Division and 3 from Kashmir Division.

Also, officials said that the death toll due to coronavirus remains at 4409, as no fresh fatality was reported in J&K during the last 24 hours.

The official further said that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported on Friday, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 45 in the Union Territory.
