J&K Sees 156 Recoveries, 135 Cases

Srinagar: As many as 156 coronavirus infected people recovered in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday while 135 fresh cases of virus were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to officials, J&K witnessed more recoveries than cases as 156 more patients infected by Covid-19 recovered, 64 from Jammu division and 92 from Kashmir Valley. During the same time, officials said, 135 new cases of Covid-19 were reported from J&K— 98 from the Valley and the remaining 37 from the winter capital.

Giving district-wise details, officials said, Srinagar reported 35, Baramulla 5, Budgam 6, Pulwama 9, Kupwara 10, Anantnag 8, Bandipora 11, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 4, Shopian 1, Jammu 10, Udhampur 3, Rajouri 4, Doda 10, Samba 1, Kishtwar 7 and Poonch 2 new cases of coronavirus. The three districts of Ramban, Reasi and Kathua reported no new cases of virus.

Meanwhile, there was no death due to the virus. So far 4395 people have fallen victim to the pathogen in J&K—2156 in Jammu division and 2239 in Kashmir.

There was one fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. Thus far 42 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added. (With GNS inputs)
