Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday died after his service rifle accidentally went off near Bakshi Stadium in this capital city.
Constable Sachin Yadav died on the spot after his service rifle accidentally went off near Bakshi Stadium in Haft Chinar area of the city this evening, reports said.
A CRPF spokesman told a local news agency GNS that the constable “either died due to fire from outside or as a consequence of suicide.”
“There was an accidental fire from his rifle and he died on the spot,” he added.
