‘Pick and Choose’ Departmental Store Found ‘Cheating’

Srinagar: One of the known Departmental Stores of Kashmir capital Srinagar ‘Pick N Choose’ was found cheating customers on Saturday. The Store was found pasting MRP stickers at will to loot customers in gross violation of rules.

Officials said that Legal Metrology Department during an inspection of ‘Pick N Choose’ found that MRP was increased on the products by pasting the new stickers on them.

Pertinently, pasting of stickers is a violation of Legal Metrology Act 2009.

The Legal Metrology team that was led by Deputy Controller Muzafar Wani seized all those goods having fabricated stickers.

Wani promised strict action against all such offenders who are cheating consumers by charging prices of the goods at exorbitant rates.

Pertinently, thousands of customers visit the said Departmental Store on daily basis. (KNT)
