Body Of Non-Local Labourer Retrieved From Jhelum In Pulwama

Srinagar- Body of a 25-year-old non-local labourer, drowned in river Jhelum on Wednesday evening, was retrieved this afternoon.

A police official said that the youth had fallen into the water body at around eight in the evening yesterday. Efforts were launched by SDRF alongside locals to rescue the youth, however the body could only be retrieved this afternoon, he said, according to news agency GNS.

Identifying the deceased as one Zeeshan Ahmad (25) son of Ayoub Shah a resident of Uttar Pardesh, a brick kiln worker, the official further said that body has been taken into custody for medico-legal formalities.
