Srinagar: A policeman on Saturday was killed after a branch of Chinar tree fell upon him on the Srinagar- Baramulla highway near Pattan.
Manzoor Ahmed, was riding his motorbike when a branch of a Chinar fell on him near the Power Development Department (PDD) office in Pattan, reports said. Ahmed, a resident of Kripalpora Payeen Pattan suffered serious head injuries in the incident.
Locals tried to evacuate him to hospital, however, he died on spot, reports said. The deceased was working as PSO in the Police Department. (KNT)
