3 Pulwama Youth Booked Under PSA, Shifted To Kot Bhalwal Jail

Srinagar- Three youth from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) for allegedly indulging in stone pelting during an encounter in the area in April, 2021, an official said.

The detained youth have been identified as Sameer Mushtaq Lone, son of Mushtaq Ahmed lone, Mudsir Ahamad Lone, son of Noor Muhammad Lone, residents of Kakapora Pulwama and Sameer Ahmed Lone, son of Bashir Ahmed Lone of Lelhar Pulwama.

The official said that the youth were already in police custody and were booked under PSA after ascertaining their involvement in ‘stone pelting’. They were shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail on Friday.

Notably, three Al-Badr militants were killed in Kakapora Pulwama on April 02 this year. After the encounter, stone pelting incident took place in the area in following which several youth were arrested.
