2 OGWs Held With Arms: Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday claimed to have foiled a weapon smuggling attempt by arresting two alleged militant associates and recovering a huge cache of arms and ammunition from their possession in Qazigund area of Kulgam district.

“Weapon smuggling bid foiled. Two AK-56 rifles, 10 pistols along with 18 magazines, 90 bullets besides nine grenades were recovered from a dumper (JKO2BB-0949) at Lower Munda crossing Qazigund,” Kashmir police posted on its official Twitter handle.

It also said that militant associates— Zahid Nabi and Mehraj-ud-Din have been arrested and further investigations are in progress.
