J&K Police Distributes Face Masks In Srinagar

Holds Covid Awareness Programmes

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police Tuesday held a Covid awareness programme in capital city Srinagar and also distributed face masks among the general public.

A Covid awareness program was organised by Police Station Nigeen at Auqaf Market Hazratbal & Fisherman colony Dhobighat areas of Hazratbal.

SP Hazratbal, SDPO Zakoora & SHO PS Nigeen were present on the occasion. Besides, Tehsildar North, Civil Society members, Masjid Committee members, Civil defence personal & members of different NGO’s also attended the function.

In Dalgate personnel of the police distributed the masks on Boulevard and also sanitised the people about the covid SOP’s.

In Budgam, Police held meetings with Nambardars and Chowkidars at Police Station Khansahib and Police Post Narbal to aware them about Covid-19 containment measures and other Govt SOPs. The participants were also advised to motivate people in their respective villages to go for vaccination at an earliest.

During the programmes, the people were sensitised about the pandemic and were requested to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour. The participants were requested to wear masks, use sanitizers and keep their surroundings clean. They were requested to adhere to the SOPs and cooperate with police in enforcing the directions.
