River Police Rescues Man After He Jumps Into River Jhelum

Srinagar- River Police Friday rescued a man from Srinagar who allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into the river Jhelum near Abdullah Bridge.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a man jumped into the river but was quickly rescued by River Police present at Peerzo.

The man was retrieved alive. He has been identified as Rashid Yousuf Dar, a resident of Indira Nagar Sonawar. (KNT)
