J&K Logs 75 Cases, One Death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Thursday 75 fresh cases of coronavirus, even as the deadly disease consumed another life in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to the officials, the victim belonged to Kashmir Valley and the latest casualty has taken the total death count to 1969—729 in Jammu and 1240 in the Valley.

Of the fresh 75 cases, officials said, Kashmir valley reported 65 while Jammu 10 new cases of infection thus taking the total number of people infected by the virus in J&K to 127363.

Giving district-wise break-up of cases, officials said, Srinagar reported 39, Baramulla 4, Budgam 4, Pulwama 3, Anantnag 8, Bandipora 2, Kulgam 3, Shopian 2 and Jammu 10 new cases of infection.

Moreover, the officials said that 77 more patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—12 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Valley.
