Pattan Woman Dies Of Covid-19

Srinagar: A woman died of coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday while 77 fresh cases of infection, including twenty-three travelers were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

A 60-year-old woman from Pattan area of district succumbed to Covid-19 on Wednesday, raising the fatality count to 1931—1212 in Valley and 719 in Jammu division.

Srinagar district with 454 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (370), Baramulla (174), Budgam (117), Kupwara (95), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(22), and Reasi (15).

Meanwhile, 77 fresh cases of coronavirus were reported from J&K during the last 24 hours, officials said.

While 18 fresh cases were reported from Jammu division, the remaining 59 were confirmed Covid-19 positive by the officials in Kashmir division.

Giving district-wise details, officials said, Srinagar reported 23, Baramulla 8, Budgam 4, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 6, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 2, Shopian 2, Jammu 16, and Udhampur and Kathua one each new case of Covid-19.

Moreover, they said, 129 more patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 55 from Jammu Division and 74 from Kashmir Valley.
