Srinagar – National Conference (NC) leader Hilal Akbar Lone was on Friday detained near Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Hilal, the elder son of Member Parliament from north Kashmir and senior NC leader, Mohammad Akbar Lone, was detained while he was on his way to his home in Naidkhai, reported news agency KNO.
Akbar Lone said that Hilal was detained near Sumbal by the police when he was on way to his home.
Lone said he has no idea as to why police have detained his son.
According to the report, there has been no official confirmation about Hilal Lone’s detention yet.
