Srinagar: Coronavirus claimed the lives of four more people in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, even as 301 fresh cases of Covid-19, including 13 travelers were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infected people to 118006.
Among the four victims, three were residents of Jammu division and one from Kashmir Valley, officials said Saturday. The victim from the Valley was a 52-year-old woman from Bemina here. Among the three fatalities reported from Jammu division, two were residents of from Samba and one from Kathua.
With these deaths, the total fatality count in J&K reached 1837—1165 in the Valley and 672 in the Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 441 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (342), Baramulla (170), Budgam (106), Pulwama (88), Kupwara (88), Anantnag (82), Doda (60), Bandipora (58), Udhampur (55), Kulgam (53), Rajouri (54), Kathua (48), Ganderbal (42), Shopian (37), Samba (36), Poonch (22), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(21), and Reasi (13).
Meanwhile, thirteen travelers were among 301 fresh Covid-19 cases reported in J&K in the last 24 hours, officials said. Among them, 165 were from Jammu division and the remaining 136 from Kashmir Valley.
Giving district wise break-up of cases, the officials said, Srinagar reported 61, Baramulla 14, Budgam 11, Kupwara 7, Pulwama 14, Anantnag 14, Bandipora 10, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 1, Shopian 2, Jammu 97, Udhampur 6, Rajouri 9, Doda 7, Kathua 14, Kishtwar 1, Samba 8, Poonch 4, Ramban 11and Reasi 8 new cases of Covid-19.
Moreover, they said 465 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—184 from Jammu Division and 281 from Kashmir Valley.
