2 Pregnant Women Among 512 New Cases
Srinagar: At least four people succumbed to coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, raising the number of virus related fatalities in the Union Territory to 1680.
While two more people lost the battle with the deadly infection in Kashmir Valley, two others died of Covid-19 in Jammu division, officials said Saturday. In Valley, the two victims were a 48-year-old man from Hardu Ichloo village of Baramulla and a 60-year-old man from Darend in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The victims from Jammu region included one each from the winter capital of the J&K and Doda district, they said.
With these deaths, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1099 and 581 in the Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 416 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (297), Baramulla (162), Budgam (100), Pulwama (86), Kupwara (82), Anantnag (78), Doda (56), Bandipora (50), Kulgam (50), Rajouri (49), Udhampur (47), Ganderbal (38), Shopian (37), Kathua (36), Samba (29), Poonch (22), Ramban (18), Kishtwar(16), and Reasi (9).
2 Pregnant Women Among 512 New Cases
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Saturday 512 fresh cases of novel coronavirus, including 24 travelers and two pregnant women thus taking the total number of people infected by virus in the Union Territory to 109383.
According to the officials, Srinagar reported 97, Baramulla 26, Budgam 25, Pulwama 14, Kupwara 16, Anantnag 7, Bandipora 12, Ganderbal 14, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 129, Rajouri 33, Udhampur 31, Doda 18, Kathua 23, Poonch 1, Samba 20, Kishtwar 26, Ramban 9 and Reasi 10 new cases of Covid-19.
Moreover, officials said, 632 more patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 179 from Jammu and 453 from Kashmir Division. (With GNS inputs)
