Soldier’s Brother Goes Missing In Anantnag

Srinagar: A soldier’s brother has gone missing from Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district since Tuesday.

21-year-old Yasir Ahmad Wani left his home on Tuesday around 10 AM and since then his whereabouts are unknown, family said Saturday. Before leaving, Wani left his cellphone at his home.

“My brother left home for some work but didn’t return since then,” Wani’s brother Saqib Ahmad said.

The family, he said searched for him in the neighborhood and even called relatives and friends of Wani but nobody had any clue of his whereabouts.

Brother’s disappearance, Ahmad said has left the family shattered especially his parents and sisters. Besides Ahmad and Wani, the family has another son who works in army.

The family sought help from the administration in tracing their beloved.

Meanwhile, local news agency KNO quoted an unnamed police officer as saying that efforts were on to trace the missing youth.
