Srinagar- An unidentified militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter that broke out in Arrah area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday, police said.
State forces launched a cordon and search operation in Arrah area of Kulgam. after receiving specific information about the presence of militants in the area, a police official said.
He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire at a search party of the forces, who retaliated.
An unidentified militant has been killed so far, the official said, adding that the operation was still in progress.
