JCO Among 3 Army Soldiers Injured In Ongoing Kulgam Encounter:

Srinagar- A Junior Commissioned officer among three soldiers were injured in an ongoing encounter in Arrah area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Official sources said that in  encounter, three soldiers including JCO received minor injuries, who have been evacuated to 92 Base hospital for treatment, reported news agency GNS.

One militant was also killed in initial exchange of firing, the official added.

Earlier, state forces launched a cordon and search operation in Arrah area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam after receiving specific information about the presence of militants in the area, they said.

He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire at a search party of the forces, who retaliated.
