One More Covid-19 Death In Kashmir, J&K Toll 72

Srinagar- A 55-year-old woman from Shopian, who had tested positive for Covid-19, died at a hospital in Srinagar on Thursday, taking the total number of fatalities due to novel Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir to 72,  officials said

A covid-19 positive woman from Neldoora Shopian passed away at Chest Diseases (CD) Hospital, one of the exclusive facilities of the management of covid-19 in Srinagar, on Thursday evening, the officials said.

They said the woman was admitted to hospital on Wednesday and was suffering from hypertension and septicaemia.

With this fatality, the death toll due to the pathogen has risen in Jammu and Kashmir to 72— 63 in Valley and 9 in Jammu division.

So far Srinagar district with sixteen deaths due to the virus has the highest fatalities, followed by twelve in Baramulla, nine in Shopian, eight in Kulgam, six in Jammu, five each in Anantnag, Kupwara & Budgam, two in Pulwama while one death each has been reported in Bandipora, Doda, Rajouri & Udhampur.
