Police Arrests 3 ‘Stalkers’ In Awantipora

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three youth who were stalking and harassing a minor girl in south Kashmir’s Awantipora.

Irfan Ahmad Najar, Tawseef Ahmad Joo of Wuyan and Mudasir Ashraf of Chandhara were arrested by police on the basis of a complaint by the father of a minor girl alleging his daughter was being harassed and stalked by the trio since one month, a police spokesperson said.

“They have been shifted to Police Station Khrew where they remain in custody,” the police spokesperson said.

He said that a case FIR No. 23/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered in the Police Station Khrew.
