Siblings Flee From Quarantine Centre, Booked

Srinagar: Two brothers escaped from a quarantine centre in south Kashmir’s Shopian district but were brought back to the facility and booked by the police,reports said Wednesday.

The two brothers hailing from Malikbugh village of Shopian fled from the quarantine centre on Tuesday evening prompting police to intervene, news agency KNT reported quoting unnamed officials. Both of them were brought to the quarantine centre after police found them present in their home.

Both these brothers having travel history were lodged at a Guest House, the report added.

Officials said that despite knowing that the coronavirus is a dreaded disease, they negligently and deliberately left the quarantine centre increasing the risk of spreading the infection.

“A case has been registered against them,” they added.
