LOC Flares up, 6 Indian Soldiers Injured in Exchange of Fire

Srinagar: Four Army soldiers and two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured, as the skirmishes between India and Pakistan troops escalated on the fourth consecutive day Friday along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Six soldiers, including four army men were injured when Pakistani troops resorted to heavy mortar shelling along the Sunderbani sector of the border district Rajouri this morning, reports said.

Pakistani troops used small arms and mortars to target Indian posts in Dadal and Malla areas, prompting retaliating from the Indian army, reports said.

The injured soldiers, reports said have been removed to the hospital for treatment.

The situation along the LoC was tense when the last reports came in.
