Covid-19: Missing AMU Scholars Traced in Kashmir, Put Under Observation

Srinagar – Authorities here have traced all the three PhD scholars who had earlier left the Aligrah Muslim University (AMU) quarantine home without informing the varsity administration.

Officials in north and south Kashmir said all the three scholars have been traced and shifted to  Health Centers for examination, a local news gathering agency said.

A letter issued by the medical authorities at AMU stated that three scholars two from North and one from South Kashmir have fled the isolation wards without informing the medical practitioners or authorities there.

The authorities in Jammu and Kashmir timely swung into action and claimed to have traced the trio in their native villages from north and south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)  Anantnag Sandeep Chaudhary said that one AMU scholar has been traced by the team and is with them.

The two others hailing from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district were also traced by the authorities.

According to Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr GN Itoo the two scholars have been traced and have been shifted to Kreeri hospital for preliminary examination, KNO reported.

He said the duo will be brought to district hospital Baramulla today for further medical examination
